Hello Troop 648
Awesome turnout last night at CPK for the troop social and fundraiser! Thank you to everyone that made it for fun, fellowship and great food. We will send out the raffle winners soon.
This Sunday, February 5th, we will provide service to our wonderful charter organization, Chaparral Christian Church.
We will be participating in ‘Scout Sunday,’ a nationally recognized event that is typically held in February. The Scout Sunday tradition was started to make people in houses of worship aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out their ‘Duty to God,’ pledged each week.
The Scout Law says that a ‘Scout is Reverent’ and that Scouts of all ages promise to do their Duty to God. These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith.
We really need your help! Scouts, Scouters, parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, etc. are encouraged to sign-up to help with the following:
- Greeters- Welcome those who are attending the 9am or 10:30am service
- Bulletins- Pass out church bulletins prior to the 9am or 10:30am service
- Ushers- Collect the offering and share communion at the 9am service
- Staff- Set up and help manage Arizona Scouting Museum display tables
