No One Still Lost at Lost Dutchman

Good evening,

Search and Rescue was a hit!  Not only were all 7 of the victims/patients recovered, we didn’t lose any of the 17 scouts who were out looking for them – although some teddy bear cholla cactus did find a few scouts!  Many thanks to all youth who took advantage of this tremendous opportunity to benefit from the experience of Mr. Norling, his fire/rescue friend Tim, their families and friends, and the leadership of our own T648 crews.  The simulation was a real eye-opener on some of the things that can challenge even the best-laid plans, the weather was beautiful and the location under the Flat Iron at Lost Dutchman was absolutely stunning.

Please remember that we will be meeting at the church on Tuesday, and will be at a local park (likely Cactus Park at Cactus and Scottsdale Road) on the 28th.  Primary focus will be on preparation for the scout skills we will be presenting during the upcoming Webelos Weekend to be held in McDowell Mountain Regional Park on the 7th – 9th of January.

I wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.  It is an honor to spend such quality time with your sons as they develop such excellent life and leadership skills through scouting.

Mr. Cole
